Morning Routine
As the sun rises over the beautiful red rocks of St. George, Utah, I start my day at S & S Mechanical Plumbing, Heating & Cooling. After grabbing a quick breakfast and my trusty tool belt, I hop into the company van and head to our first air conditioning installation of the day in nearby Washington, UT.
First Job: AC Installation
Our team arrives at the client’s home, ready to transform their sweltering living room into a cool oasis. We carefully remove the old unit and begin the process of installing a new, energy-efficient air conditioner. As we work, we explain the benefits of regular maintenance to the homeowner, emphasizing how it can extend the life of their new system.
Lunchtime
After wrapping up the installation, we take a quick lunch break. I use this time to check our schedule for the afternoon and prepare for our next tasks.
Afternoon: AC Repair and Service Calls
The afternoon is filled with various service calls across St. George and Cedar City. Our tasks include:
- Diagnosing and repairing a malfunctioning AC unit in Santa Clara
- Performing routine maintenance on an HVAC system in Ivins
- Helping a customer in Cedar City choose the right air conditioning system for their home
End of Day
As the workday comes to a close, we head back to the S & S Mechanical office. I take some time to complete paperwork, restock my van with necessary supplies, and discuss the day’s challenges and successes with my colleagues.
